Dr. Rachel McCann, DVM
Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner Complementary & Conventional MedicineDr. Rachel knew from the age of six that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Her journey to veterinary medicine took a few unexpected and meaningful turns. Before pursuing her veterinary degree, Dr. Rachel worked in the trades in northern Alberta while also seeking opportunities to volunteer with veterinarians and wildlife conservation projects in Africa. These experiences allowed her to work with animals in different settings and ultimately strengthened her passion for helping them.
A graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, Dr. Rachel is passionate about helping pets live healthier, happier, and more comfortable lives. She believes in treating the whole patient and getting to know both the pet and the people who love them. She is especially interested in integrative therapies and enjoys continuing to expand her knowledge so she can thoughtfully combine conventional medicine with complementary approaches to provide individualized care.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Rachel loves spending time with her own furry family members and getting outdoors whenever she can. Whether she's exploring, enjoying time with her pets, or learning something new, her love of animals is at the heart of everything she does.
