There are multiple types of lasers that can be used for healing purposes. HTHVC has the following types.
A series of treatments is recommended for most conditions. We recommend having 2 treatment sessions per week for the first two weeks and then depending on the pet’s response, we may ask to have the patient come back every one to two weeks for follow-up appointments for the next one to two months.
Class 2 Laser
Class 2 laser is our lowest power laser. This laser is used for pets who may have trouble wearing goggles, or need a less powerful treatment.Class 3B Laser
Class 3B laser is used uniquely for acupuncture points. This laser produces a small beam of light that can trigger acupuncture points similarly to acupuncture needles. Class 3B lasers can be a great alternative to pets who cannot endure traditional acupuncture.Class 4 Laser
Class 4 laser therapy works through a process called photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy and is our clinic’s strongest laser. The light emitted from the laser penetrates the skin layer and helps the pet decrease inflammation, decrease pain, and accelerate healing.
